We Start and End with Jesus
Today’s Devotion
I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.”
When we walk in Christ, it is essential that we make him first priority in our lives. When I was going through trials, I had to make right who was the first person in my life. A relationship is precious and every husband and wife can attest that undivided attention means you give importance to your relationship. Our earthly marital relationship is like of Jesus to his bride. He is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. To simply to put, start with greeting him when you open your eyes in the morning. Waking to live another day is already in itself a reason to thank him. He is the sovereign, powerful being who created the heavens and the earth. God deserves your daily greetings, because it is HE who created you and loves you regardless of your flaws.

He is also Omega. He is the end and no one can ever take that away. Even with all the trials and tribulations we encounter daily, remember who is victorious. Look to the end of the tunnel and see who is waiting. Jesus is the victor. He ended it all when he sacrificed himself at the cross. He displayed the power over the devil when he said

 In John 19:30 (ESV)
When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, “It is finished,” and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
HE declared victory over sin and death. Even as we continue living on earth. We move forward and run the race
Hebrews 12:1-3 (ESV)

Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

Consider him who endured from sinners such hostility against himself, so that you may not grow weary or fainthearted.

Jesus conquered it all! He deserve the first blink in the morning and the last one at night. So let us all believers move forward and run the race. Let us start and continue with Jesus and finish the race together with HIM when he finally returns.

I urge you today Brothers and Sisters to seek him as you wake up and before you sleep.

To God be the glory, Amen!
